Personal Life

Prakash Raj, who is today named as the top villain of Bollywood and Tollywood. Prakash Raj was born on 28 March 1975 in Bangalore city of Karnataka state. Prakash Raj’s real name is Prakash Rai. On the insistence of veteran Tamil director K. Balachander, he changes Surname with Rai to Raj. He attended his school from Joseph’s Indian High School.

Acting

in a 7th standard, Prakash Raj took part in a play. Prakash Raj used to work in theater at the beginning of his career, he used to get 300 rupees for working at that time. His acting career started with Doordarshan’s Bisilu Kudure and Guddada Bhootha TV series.

At the beginning of the film career, he played the role of a supporting actor. He made his Tamil industry debut in 1994 with film Duet. This movie became very much hit and through this movie, he got a new identity.

In 1995, he made his debut in the Malayalam film industry through The Prince Movie. He has so far acted in 12 Malayalam movies.

He made his Bollywood debut with the 2009 film Wanted. After this, he acted in movies like Singham, Dabangg 2, Policegiri, Mumbai Mirror.

As An Producer

After being a success in acting, he decided to become a movie producer. He made his first film Dhaya in 2002. He received the Special Jury National Award for this movie. After this, he produced Tamil films like Naam (2003), Azhagiya Theeye (2004), Kanda Naal Mudhal (2005), Poi (2006), Inidhu Inidhu (2010).

He has won many big awards like International Tamil Film Awards, Nandi Awards, Santosham Film Awards, Tamil Nadu State Film AwardsApsara Film, and Television Producers Guild Awards, Filmfare Awards, International Indian Film Academy Awards.

He has been awarded the National Film Award 6 times.

Ban

Prakash Raj used to work in many movies simultaneously, arriving late on the film set. Sometimes he did not go to shoot. Due to his unprofessional behavior, the Telugu industry had banned him 4 times.
